     BLOW HOLE

Located on the East coast of Tahiti in the Community of Tiarei, there is this famous “Blow Hole” call in Tahitian “ARAHOHO” meaning the wave that makes the sound “HOHO” when the wave is compressed into the cave located under the road and shoots up in the air like a geyser.

It also blows on the side of the road thru a lava tube.

On a good day we can see some surfers riding the waves and sometimes outrigger canoes.

And in the month of June till November there are some humpback whales jumping and blow water.

They came from miles to our warm water for the mate season as well as to give birth before they go back to the cold water in the Antarctic. Very Interesting to see it when they are there.
